The North East could see temperatures of up to 18°C on Tuesday as a mini heatwave arrives in the region.
Temperatures are expected to soar in the afternoon and it is set to be sunny and dry after a cloudy start.
It's a similar picture on Wednesday with warm weather and high temperatures but from Thursday, it will be turning much colder.
The Met Office forecast for Tuesday says: "A cloudy start across northern and western parts of the region, but brighter elsewhere and increasingly becoming sunny for all by midday. With light winds it will turn warm through the afternoon. Maximum temperature 18°C.
"After a fine end to the day, it will stay dry overnight with long clear spells and light winds. Turning chilly, especially in the countryside. Minimum temperature 4°C."
