The North East looks set for another day of glorious sunny conditions once a misty start to the day subsides.
According to the leading meteorologists, the Met Office, the region is set for a misty start before clearing the way for more pleasant sunny spells as the day goes on. There is a chance of some afternoon showers, however, the forecast expects them to be isolated.
They have forecast the following conditions for today in the North East: "Early mist and fog clearing once again to leave another fine and bright day with long sunny spells, generally dry but an odd isolated late afternoon shower is possible. Feeling warm, with light winds. Maximum temperature 18 °C."

Like yesterday, the pleasant spring weather will be followed with a stark drop in temperature with a chilly evening on the way: "After a fine day, it will be a dry night, with lengthy clear skies.
"A chilly night, with a patchy frost and perhaps a few fog patches forming in places. Minimum temperature 0 °C."
