Scorching temperatures are expected in the North East over the weekend as hot weather hits the UK.
You might want to grab your sunglasses and a beach towel as the next few days are set to be very warm.
A Met office spokesman said: “Friday will be sunny with clear skies throughout the day. It will be fine and dry with a light breeze and plenty of sunshine. Largely clear skies through the night. Pockets of mist in rural areas.

“The maximum temperature will be 26°C.
“On Saturday, expect it to be sunny throughout the day with clear skies. It will be dry with plenty of sunshine and a light wind.”
Temperatures could reach 30C on Saturday but are likely to cool down slightly on Sunday to 22C.
The forecaster added: “Sunday will bring sunshine throughout the morning turning to cloudy around midday. It’ll be generally warm with a chance of drizzle and low cloud in coastal areas.”
