Snow and ice is expected across the North East throughout Tuesday.
The Met Office issued a yellow weather warning for western areas of County Durham and for parts of Northumberland, including Bellingham, for the whole of Tuesday.
The warning will remain for some parts of Northumberland into Wednesday, including Wooler and Allendale.
But Newcastle and other areas could see sleet and some light snow throughout Tuesday and high winds will continue to affect the entire North East. Follow live updates here.
