Another glorious day of sunshine is in the offing in the North East providing the perfect conditions for a Mother's Day stroll.
According to the Met Office, the pleasant sunny weather that has been a mainstay this week in the region is expected to remain all day today. The leading meteorologists have predicted that warm temperatures will be experienced throughout the North East making it a great opportunity to treat your mum to a picnic or even a barbeque!
The Met Office have predicted the following conditions for throughout the day: "Cloud will slowly thin and break during the day to allow further warm sunshine for many, especially to the west of the North Pennines."

"Remaining cooler in coastal areas where cloud may persist throughout. Maximum temperature 17 C."
As has been the case throughout the week, temperatures will drop significantly as the night draws in so do make sure to pack a jumper or a jacket if you are staying outside.
The Met Office has predicted the following conditions for this evening: "Low cloud is likely to reform readily in coastal areas, spreading inland overnight.
"Some northern and western parts will keep clear skies, with isolated frost patches forming in low-lying spots. Minimum temperature 5C."
