Hour by hour forecast as Met Office predicts day of bright or sunny spells for North East

The North East is set for a day of pleasant bright or sunny spells and light winds as we head into the Easter weekend.

With many people in the region looking forward to having a relaxing break over the Easter period, the Met Office have forecast a day of dry conditions with sunny spells- perfect barbeque weather! According to the leading meteorologists, the region should experience temperatures of up to 16 °C over the course of the day.

The Met Office have forecast the following conditions in the North East : "A dry day with spells of sunshine, albeit a bit hazy at times as cloud increases during the afternoon. Winds will be light and it will feel relatively warm. Maximum temperature 16 °C."

If you are planning on staying outside and making the most of your time off, you might want to consider taking a jacket or a jumper as the evening sets in, however. Although conditions are likely to stay largely dry, the temperature is set to drop to a chillier 7 °C at most tonight.

The Met Office forecast the following conditions for the evening: "Thickening cloud through the evening may produce the odd spot of light rain overnight, but generally it will remain dry. Minimum temperature 7 °C."

11:00: 11°, Sunny intervals, Rain: <5%

12:00: 12°, Cloudy, Rain: <5%

13:00: 13°, Cloudy, Rain: 10%

14:00: 14°, Sunny intervals, Rain: <5%

15:00: 14°, Cloudy, Rain: <5%

16:00: 14°, Cloudy, Rain: 10%

17:00: 13°, Cloudy, Rain: 10%

18:00: 12°, Cloudy, Rain: 10%

19:00: 12°, Cloudy, Rain: 10%

20:00: 11°, Cloudy, Rain: 10%

21:00: 11°, Cloudy, Rain: 10%

22:00: 10°, Cloudy, Rain: 10%

23:00: 10°, Cloudy, Rain: 10%
