It's set to be gloomy start to the weekend in Liverpool as the Met Office has issued a thunderstorm warning for the region.
The yellow alert runs from 12pm to 10pm on Saturday - and warns heavy showers and thunderstorms may cause transport disruption and flooding.
Forecasters at the beginning of the month were hopeful there may be some " summer-like " weather towards the end of August, but the latest predictions from the Met Office has dealt another blow to the optimistic outlook.

The Met Office's prediction for the weather today in Liverpool states: "Wet start to Saturday with rainy conditions persisting through the day. Heaviest rain expected in northern locations through the afternoon. Winds becoming light. Maximum temperature 19 °C."
The hour-by-hour forecast predicts that light rain will begin at 6am and the showers will stay for the majority of the day.
There is a 90% chance of heavy rain at 9am, which will reduce to 70% at 3pm. This is predicted to ease off to a light shower at 6pm when there is a 40% chance of rain. The showers are expected to stop at 9pm and it will remain cloudy for the rest of the night.
Temperatures will range between 16C - 18C for throughout the day
