Hounslow stabbing: Man charged with murder of Renato Geci

A man has been charged with the murder of a 21-year-old who suffered fatal stab wounds at a house in west London.

Renato Geci died on March 22 after being attacked at a house in Granville Avenue, Hounslow.

Police were called to reports of a disturbance at the address where they found Mr Geci with serious injuries.

Paramedics battled to save his life, but he died at the scene.

A second man in his twenties also suffered knife wounds but his injuries were not life threatening.

Shaddai Smith, 31, from Romford, has been charged with murder, wounding with intent and burglary. He is due to appear at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court on Saturday.

A 27-year-old woman who was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender has been released on bail to a date in mid-April

A Met statement said: “Police were called at around 03:20hrs on Monday, 22 March, to a disturbance at premises in Granville Avenue, Hounslow.

“Officers attended and found two men suffering from stab injuries.

“Renato was treated at the scene by officers and paramedics, but he sadly died at 04:23hrs.

“A second man, also aged in his 20s, was taken to hospital but has since been discharged.”
