Glasgow-based hotel management company RBH– which runs sites including Courtyard by Marriott and Hilton Doubletree - has announced a promotion to its senior team as it targets major investment in its portfolio.
The business has strengthened its executive committee with the appointment of Gregor MacNaughton to chief technical officer.
His recent projects at the firm have included overseeing the completion of a £3.7 million extension at Holiday Inn Express in Edinburgh city centre and the £1 million façade refurbishment on the Grade A-listed building housing DoubleTree by Hilton, also in the capital.
MacNaughton initially joined RBH as group property manager shortly after graduating from Glasgow Caledonian University with an MSc in Construction Project Management. After eight years in the position, he took up a role as head of property for hotel group Principal Hayley.
Three years later, he returned to RBH as group capital manager before being promoted to director of technical services.
His new role will see him oversee technical support to seven new build properties, including project management, procurement and installation of operating supplies and equipment and furniture, fittings and equipment for a range of developments.
