Hotel offers guests a 'terrible night's sleep' including prank calls and creepy noises

A new hotel is promising its guests a 'terrible night's sleep' with services including prank calls, banging on the walls, random blood-curdling screams throughout the night, and even uninvited visitors entering their rooms .

The aptly-named 'Dread and Breakfast' deliberately aims to keep its guests awake all night, and there's an early check-out at 9am too so guests don't have an opportunity to try and catch up on sleep with a lie-in.

Located in an old, abandoned building in London, it all sounds like the stuff of nightmares - but that's exactly the point.

The creepy experience is actually all in the spirit of Halloween, with the hotel opening its doors from October 28-30, and it could give the UK's most haunted hotels a run for their money.

The hotel will open its doors at 7pm each night, complete with a huge bar and live music from house band Thankful We Are Dead. 140 guests will be invited to then wander around the decrepit building and explore the creepy rooms and corridors.

The creepy stay is all in partnership with Kraken Rum, who will be on hand to create some delicious cocktails for the evening. Visitors will be invited to try and find the last location of the mythical Kraken, with guided tours and quests throughout the 'cursed' property.

It'll be a fully immersive experience, and the event organisers have said that revellers can "expect shocks, surprises and a world of terror that will expand depending on your choices".

However, not everyone gets to sleep over. In fact, only a select few will be offered the chance to spend a night at the immersive hotel - and you won't find out whether you're one of them until the night itself (so anyone interested is encouraged to pack an overnight bag in case they get picked).

At 11pm, all other guests will be asked to leave the venue, and those who are staying overnight can 'settle' into their rooms although it may be hard to do so with the promise of plenty of scares and unwanted creatures.

The 'chosen' few will be subject to a night of terror until they check-out the following morning.

Brave souls who are up for the challenge can already book their tickets to the Dread & Breakfast on the website here. Tickets cost £10 which includes the full evening entertainment and party, as well as a free welcome cocktail. The bespoke Kraken cocktails will cost £35 each.
