LOS ANGELES _ British singer-songwriter Robbie Williams has officially checked out of the Mulholland Estates area, selling his home in the guard-gated community to fellow musician DJ Khaled for $9.9 million.
The French Normandy-style house, custom built in 1992, was updated by Williams during his decade-plus of ownership. Within the 10,681 square feet of living space: a two-story entry with an artistic staircase, a formal dining room with a mirrored wall, a study, a gym/media room and a chef's kitchen with a broad center island.
The master suite, one of seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms, is equipped with a spa-like bath, a separate sitting room and pocketing doors that open to a balcony. An adjoining office holds a recording studio.
Outdoors are a built-in barbecue, a fireplace and a swimming pool with a waterfall feature. Views from the three-quarter-acre site take in the mountains and cityscape.
Although it is considered to be in the Beverly Hills Post Office area, complete with a 90210 ZIP Code, the Los Angeles Times' Mapping L.A. database shows that the mansion sits within Sherman Oaks.
Williams, 42, gained fame in the 1990s as a member of the pop group Take That. He is among the bestselling musicians in Britain and has sold 70 million albums worldwide.
Khaled, a 41-year-old music producer, has collaborated with such artists as Rick Ross, Lil Wayne and Birdman.
