Since forming in London fifteen years ago, British dance-pop band Hot Chip have released six albums, had a song featured on The Simpsons and been nominated for a Grammy award. Now the self-described “middle class white geeks” will headline Melbourne’s Sugar Mountain festival and perform shows across Australia.

Their 2006 album The Warning plunged them into the mainstream and was named Mixmag’s album of the year. Their latest album, Why Make Sense, features their trademark shadowy synths, kinetic beats and melancholic lyrics that the band are known for.
