Hot Chip cancel Glasgow Playground festival appearance last minute due to illness

Playground Festival bosses have announced that Hot Chip have had to pull out of their performance tonight due to 'illness'.

The festival kicked off today at 2pm at Rouken Glen Park in Glasgow's South Side.

Hot Chip, The Libertines, Irvine Welsh and Orbital are among the other acts scheduled to play tonight, with Hot Chip to play a megamix set.

The band took the festival by storm in its first year in 2019.

"We still have a whole host of exciting performances lined up and can't wait to welcome you all to #Playground21 ".

Earlier today, Neil Barnes of Leftfield also announced he was pulling out his DJ set due to "personal circumstances".
