Hospital figures update: Six people in Lanarkshire are in intensive care with coronavirus

The Scottish Government today said that 1721 people have now tested positive for coronavirus in Lanarkshire.

It comes as 1912 patients across Scotland who tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19) have died.

And six people in Lanarkshire were in intensive care at midnight, with confirmed or suspected coronavirus.

The Scottish test numbers for May 13 show a total of 77,750 people have been tested across the country.

Of these:

■ 63,821 tests were confirmed negative

■ 13,929 tests were positive

■ 1,973 patients who tested positive have died

■ 70 patients were in intensive care last night, with 68 of those having tested positive

■ There were 1,101 people in Scottish hospitals confirmed with COVID-19 (including those in intensive care), and a further 433 where it was suspected.
