Hospital figures latest: Nine people in Lanarkshire remain in intensive care with coronavirus

The Scottish Government today said that 1715 people have now tested positive for coronavirus in Lanarkshire.

It comes as 1912 patients across Scotland who tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19) have died.

And nine people in Lanarkshire were in intensive care at midnight, with confirmed or suspected coronavirus.

The Scottish test numbers for May 12 show a total of 75,570 people have been tested across the country.

Of these:

■ 61,807 tests were confirmed negative

■ 13,763 tests were positive

■ 1,862 patients who tested positive have died

■ 81 patients were in intensive care last night, with 69 of those having tested positive

■ There were 1,131 people in Scottish hospitals confirmed with COVID-19 (including those in intensive care), and a further 487 where it was suspected.
