Hospital figures latest: Eight people in Lanarkshire were in intensive care at midnight with coronavirus

The Scottish Government today said that 1374 people have now tested positive for coronavirus in Lanarkshire.

It comes as 1475 patients across Scotland who tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19) have died.

And eight people in Lanarkshire were in intensive care at midnight, with confirmed or suspected coronavirus.

The Scottish test numbers for April 30 show a total of 54,639 people have been tested across the country.

Of these:

■ 43,286 tests were confirmed negative

■ 11,353 tests were positive

■ 1475 patients who tested positive have died

■ 109 patients were in intensive care last night, with 101 of those having tested positive

■ There were 1748 people in Scottish hospitals with either confirmed or suspected COVID-19 (including those in intensive care).
