Hospice donation from Coatbridge Argos staff

Big-hearted staff at Argos in Coatbridge put their best foot forward to help raise an impressive sum for St Andrew’s Hospice.

Workers at the store, located at Faraday retail park, took part in a sponsored walk during November as part of a month of fundraising activities, collecting a grand total of £1000.

Despite pouring rain on their chosen day, colleagues Avril Burns, Claire Frew, Stuart McCreadie, Jeanette Murphy, Gillian Henderson and store manager Nick Fairly completed their chosen route in aid of the Airdrie charity – joined by Nick’s daughter Mia, who tackled the distance on her scooter.

Team members Avril, Claire and Nick were able to present a cheque for their fundraising efforts before the latest lockdown to hospice representative Claire Dalgleish, who said: “The team are a fantastic bunch and are keen on doing more fundraising this year.”
