Horticulture cocktail design competition winner gets year's supply of Espresso Martinis

A Newcastle bar which claims to have the world's biggest Espresso Martini menu is giving away a year's supply of the cocktail.

Horticulture, which opened in Market Lane last month, boasts a of coffee-based cocktails and drinks. The bar wants to add even more Espresso Martinis to it, so has launched a competition asking people to design a new Espresso Martini. The winner will get a year's supply of Espresso Martinis or coffee from Horticulture, limited to one drink per day.

Head barman, Connor Hughes, said: "Due to our ethos we always intend to keep both our food and drinks menus seasonally focused, so with that we are making a few additions to our huge 50 percolator menu, so we thought it makes total sense to ask the coffee lovers of the North East for their ideas."

Essentially, Horticulture is asking coffee and cocktail lovers for their Espresso Martini creations. Seasonal suggestions are encouraged "but all ideas are welcome", says Connor.

He added: "It could be a version of your favourite Christmas dinner ingredients or as crazy as a sweet or chocolate bar you were given as a child at Christmas."

The prize of a coffee or an espresso cocktail per day throughout 2020 is worth up to £3,000.

To enter, you must share Horticulture's post advertising the competition and comment below it with your creation. The winner will be announced next week.

The competition can be entered on Facebook , Instagram and Twitter .
