Horses and hard nipples: Gegard Mousasi has classic Bellator 228 post-fight press conference

INGLEWOOD, Calif. – Gegard Mousasi got his revenge on Lyoto Machida on Saturday night, but even he admitted that his split-decision victory at Bellator 228 was boring.

Oh, but Mousasi more than made up for it during his post-event news conference at The Forum.

It was clear heading into Bellator 228 that, had he won, Mousasi wanted a rematch with middleweight champion Rafael Lovato Jr., who took the title from him by majority decision three months ago. After that loss, Mousasi was adamant in alleging that Lovato Jr. was on performance-enhancing drugs.

On Saturday night, Mousasi hilariously pushed all in on that accusation again.

“That guy looked like a horse,” Mousasi said. “… That’s not even a little bit of steroids. That’s like monkey steroids. I don’t know.”

When asked if Lovato Jr. felt as strong as a horse …

“Well, he looked twice as big at the weigh-in. His nipples were hard, like a woman,” Mousasi said to laughs. “Watch it, I’m not kidding. I’m not trying to be funny or something. He could’ve given milk to babies.

“Anyway, I’m in a good mood. Maybe I shouldn’t talk that much.”

No, Gegard. We’re very glad you did.
