Alan Blackman: Man who had sex with a horse in Norfolk to be sentenced

A married father-of-three who sexually assaulted a horse is due to be sentenced on Friday.

Alan Blackman, 31, admitted to trespass with the intent to commit a sexual offence and attempted intercourse at an earlier hearing.

He was arrested after the animal was found injured and in need of veterinary attention at farm stables in Redenhall, Norfolk, on 6 August.

Judge Stephen Holt said: “This is clearly a case where a psychiatric report would assist the court.

“You have pleaded guilty at the earliest opportunity but the court needs to know more about you.”

Blackman, who works as a removal man, was remanded in custody following the judge’s remarks.

Norfolk police had circulated CCTV images of a man caught the stables shortly before the attack.

After the appeal Mr Blackman, of no fixed address, wrote on Facebook on 17 August people were “putting my name to a face which isn't me” and provoking online speculation.
