Horse racing betting tips for Punchestown and Dundalk on Wednesday October 28

Latest Exhibition is expected to make a winning start to his chasing career in today’s BETDAQ Beginners Chase in Punchestown.

The Paul Nolan-trained seven-year-old, beaten a neck by Monkfish in the ‘Albert Bartlett’ at Cheltenham when last seen, has always looked likely to make a top-notch staying chaser.

He holds chief rival Longhouse Poet on the form of his Grade 1 victory at Leopardstown in February. And he also took the scalp of the classy Andy Dufresne (impressive on his chase debut at Wexford on Monday) in a Grade 2 at Punchestown.

With regular partner Bryan Cooper on board, Latest Exhibition will relish the test of stamina and should be very tough to beat.

And the john Queally-trained Arcadian Sunrise, successful twice over flights and conqueror of subsequent winner Ilmig in a recent flat maiden in Thurles, appeals in the final of the Connolly’s RED MILLS auction hurdle series.

The Ger Lyons-trained Aikido, not seen since finishing fourth to Cadillac at Leopardstown back on July 1, might prove the best bet on tonight’s eight-race card in Dundalk.

Jack Kennedy, who fractured his left collarbone in a fall at Limerick on October 11, will return to action, with two booked rides, in Clonmel tomorrow ahead of a massive weekend at Down Royal, where Gordon Elliott will choose from six entries, including Delta Work and Presenting Percy, for the Grade 1 Ladbrokes Champion Chase.

Two of the Elliott sextet, Alpha Des Obeaux and Shattered Love, hold alternative engagements in the Saturday’s ‘Charlie Hall’ at Wetherby, where the trainer is set to run three-time hurdle winner Longclaw in a listed juvenile event on Friday.
