A strapping son of Muhtathir, Envoi Allen has always been considered a long-term Gold Cup prospect. And today’s modest event is the first step on that road.
Granted a clear round, anything other than a convincing win for Envoi Allen would be a major surprise. But, set to be sent off at long odds-on, he isn’t a betting proposition.
