Horse killed in fire at Tower Hill Stables in Hampshire

A horse was killed in a fire Friday at a stable facility in Hampshire in far northwest suburban Kane County.

Multiple fire departments responded Friday night to the barn fire at Tower Hill Stables, 12N254 Tower Road, in Hampshire, according to Facebook posts from the Hampshire Fire Protection District and Tower Hill Stables.

One of the facility’s outbuildings caught fire, but the main barn was not affected, according to Tower Hill. One horse was killed in the blaze.
