Horror two car crash closes busy Scots road as police and ambulance crews race to the scene

Emergency services have been called following reports of a horror two car smash in Fife.

The vehicles collided on the A985 near Limekilns at around 1.25pm on Friday, March 26.

Officers have closed the road in both directions while they deal with the incident with motorists being urged to avoid the area.

Ambulance crews and a fire engine were also called to the scene but details of any injuries are not currently available.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We were called around 1.25pm on Friday, 26 March, to a report of a two car crash on the A985 near Limekilns.

“Officers are currently in attendance and the road is closed."

Traffic Scotland added: “A985 is closed in both directions at Pattiesmuir due to an RTC. Emergency services on scene.”
