A busy road in Aberdeenshire was closed by police after a rush-hour car crash.

Emergency services were called to the scene on the A96 near Colpy at around 7.30am on Wednesday, April 28.

Both north and southbound carriageways were closed as a result of the two car collision with diversions put in place for motorists.

“Two people have been taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary as a result. The road was closed at the scene however is now fully open.”
