'Horror show!' - Some Crystal Palace fans can't believe what Hodgson has done vs Bournemouth

Roy Hodgson's team selection for this afternoon's Premier League fixture against Bournemouth has got a number of Crystal Palace fans talking.

As expected there is no place in the squad for Julian Speroni who is bidding farewell to the Selhurst Park faithful when his contract expires at the end of next month.

Furthermore, Scott Dann has not overcome an injury scare so his place alongside Martin Kelly at the heart of the Palace defence goes to Joel Ward.

Julian Speroni sends an emotional message to the Crystal Palace fans ahead of summer exit

"Basically it's the same ones who have been injured for a long time now but we will have to assess Scott Dann tomorrow because he left training today feeling a slight strain so we will have to assess that," Hodgson told reporters at his pre-match press conference when asked for an injury update.

"I can't give an update on that.

"He's the only one that can possibly be added to the ones we've had for the last few weeks."

In total Hodgson has made two changes to the side which beat Cardiff City last weekend as Patrick van Aanholt and Max Meyer are drafted into the starting XI on the final day of the season.

Crystal Palace line up: Guaita; Wan-Bissaka, Kelly, Ward, van Aanholt; Milivojevic, McArthur, Meyer; Townsend, Zaha, Batshuayi

Most of the reaction from Palace supporters on social media has centred around Ward playing out of position at centre-back especially given the fact that there are other players more comfortable there.
