Horror photo shows car flipped on its roof after crash in Co Armagh

A car was flipped on its roof after a horror road crash in Co Armagh last night.

The incident happened on the High Street/Mill Road area of Bessbrook.

And a shocking photo from the scene shows a vehicle on its roof and shattered glass strewn across the road, Belfast Live reports.

A PSNI spokesman said last night: "As a result of collision a telegraph pole with live wires is blocking the road near [a] local funeral directors.

"Avoid area and follow diversions. Road will be closed for some time.”

Sinn Fein councillor in the area, Declan Murphy confirmed in a tweet that the road into High Street “from the Mill Hill Bessbrook end is currently closed due to an incident”.

He said a car “has collided with an electricity pole” but that the “circumstances are unclear”.
