A CCTV appeal has been issued by police after a thug bit part of a man's ear off on the dancefloor of a nightclub in the early hours of Christmas Day.
The victim, who is 28, was rushed to hospital where he was treated for the horrific injury and is now believed to be recovering at home.
Detectives have issued a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak with as investigations continue. They said the attack happened after two men - the attacker and the victim - accidentally 'bumped into each other' in a bar area.

It happened in Popworld on Pickford Street in Macclesfield, Cheshire, at around 3am on December 25. In a statement, Cheshire Police said: "Police have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to following an assault in Macclesfield.
"At around 3.30am on Sunday 25 December 2022, a 28-year-old man was in Pop World on Pickford Street when he and another man bumped into each other in the bar area.
"As they continued onto the dancefloor the suspect grabbed the victim and bit part of his ear off. The victim went to hospital to be treated for his injury."

Detective Constable Steve Kaminski, of Macclesfield CID, said: "This investigation is ongoing and as part of our enquiries we're keen to speak to the man. I'd urge anyone who recognises this man or has any information that may help with our investigation to contact police."
