This is the moment that a car plowed into a social media star as he was live-streaming during a charity walk.
Isaiah Thomas, known online as “hmblzayy”, was walking along Interstate 40 in Indiana on Tuesday (28 April) as part of a cross-country trek when he was hit by a vehicle, which sent him and his cart flying into the middle of the road.
Within 20 minutes, emergency services appeared on the scene. “Good thing I had a back brace on. That saved me,” he told officers.
He was transported to a hospital, where he underwent tests for injuries to his neck, feet and legs.
The streamer was on day 34 of his 100-day journey, walking from Philadelphia to California. He has vowed to continue his journey when he recovers.
