A man is fighting for his life after being hit by a bus in central London.
Emergency services were called to Taunton Place, near Marylebone, at around 2.40pm on Thursday, September 4, following reports of a collision.
They found a man in his 50s with a serious head injury. He was rushed to A&E in a life-threatening condition.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 2.39pm on Thursday, September 4, to reports of a road traffic collision at the junction of Gloucester Place and Park Road, Westminster. We sent resources to the scene, including an ambulance crew, a paramedic in a fast response car, an advanced paramedic and an incident response officer.
“Our first paramedic arrived on scene in less than four minutes. We treated a man for a head injury and took him to a major trauma centre as a priority.”
Police said there have been no arrests. Anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting CAD 4593/04SEP25.
It was the second serious bus crash in London on Thursday. Earlier in the day, 15 people were hospitalised after a route 24 double-decker lost control and crashed near Victoria station.
