Horror Glasgow city centre assault probe continues as police release CCTV images of man

Police have released CCTV images of a man they would like to speak to in relation to serious assault at a premises in Glasgow city centre.

Detectives are investigating an incident which took place within a premises on Sauchiehall Street last month.

A person was seriously assaulted at about 3.15am on Monday August 16.

Police would like to speak to the man in the images who they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.

He is described as a white male, aged between 30-35 years of age and is around 5ft 8ins in height.

The man also has receding short dark-coloured hair and at the time was wearing a blue t-shirt, blue jeans and black trainers.

Detective Constable Paul Campbell from Greater Glasgow CID urged anyone who recognises him to get in touch with police.

He said: “It is important we trace the man in the images as we believe he may have information to assist with our enquiries.

“The man in the images or anyone who recognises him, or who has information regarding this investigation, is urged to contact Glasgow City Centre Police Station through 101 quoting reference number 0419 of 16th August.

“Alternatively Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.”
