These are the disgusting and upsetting pictures which shows a tiny, newborn dog found dumped in rubbish that was thrown on the side of a north Dublin road this morning.
The poor puppy was cruelly fired into the bag by a heartless lowlife after she had received what medical experts described as "blunt trauma" to her little head.
The rubbish was thrown out on the side of the road before mercilessly being blown apart by the wind around Kilmartin Lane just off the Kilbride/Mulhuddart road.
DSPCA inspectors rushed to the scene and to their horror, they discovered the tiny, defenceless pup, who was less than two-months-old, lying dead inside, trapped among tissues and wrappers.
The abused animal was brought back to the shelter's own vets for an examination.
Here they discovered that the puppy was only a six-week-old female who had received blunt trauma to her little head.
DSPCA are urging for anyone with information about the incident to come forward immediately.
A spokesperson said: "Puppy thrown out with the rubbish and dumped on the side of the road.
"Our inspectors received this call yesterday from a member of the public who had spotted a bag of rubbish that had been dumped along Kilmartin Lane in Dublin 15.

"A tiny deceased puppy lay inside, amongst the contents. The puppy was brought back to the DSPCA vets for examination.
"A little female only around 6 weeks old. No microchip and injuries that looked to be blunt trauma to her tiny head.
"We’ll probably never know the circumstances that lead to this and sometimes it’s easier not to know. Any information you might think helpful, please email info@dspca.ie."
