A woman has died and a man and two young children are injured after a horror crash in Aberdeenshire.
Emergency services raced to the A948 Auchnagatt to Ellon road, near to near to Golf Road in Ellon at around 4pm on Friday following the two vehicle smash.
The collision involved a white Volkswagen Golf motor vehicle and a white Mitsubishi L200 motor vehicle that was towing a twin axle trailer.
The 35-year-old woman driving the Volkswagen died from her injuries.
A man aged 33 and two children, aged six and four, were taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Police are appealing for any witnesses or those with dash cam footage to come forward.
Sgt Andy Meikleham from the Roads Policing Department said “Our thoughts at this difficult time are with the friends and family of those involved.
"We would urge any person who has not yet been spoken to by Police and has seen the collision or either vehicle prior to the collision, has any dashcam footage to contact Police on 101 and quote incident 2945."
