Horror crash in Maryhill leaves entire car engine on pavement

A horror one-car crash in Maryhill left a devastating scene behind, with an entire car engine seen on the pavement following the collision.

Police raced to the scene on Bilsland Drive in the north of Glasgow yesterday evening following reports of a crash involving just one vehicle.

Remarkably, cops say there were no injuries sustained as a result of the smash.

A Police Scotland spokesperson told Glasgow Live "At around 5.35pm on Thursday August 22, police were called to a report of a road traffic collision involving one vehicle on Bilsland Drive, Glasgow.

"Emergency services attended and the road was closed while it was cleared.

"There was no reports of anyone having been injured during the incident and enquiries are ongoing."

Meanwhile, a comment posted on the No1seems2care Facebook page said "three people allegedly ran away" from the scene following the crash.
