Horror crash closes Scots road as air ambulance called to the scene

A horrific crash has closed a Scots road with an air ambulance on the scene tonight.

Dramatic pictures from the scene at the A96 near Keith, Moray show a huge number of police vehicles, ambulances and a helicopter have been sent to the emergency.

The Fire brigade are also present with engines and cars while a covering has been put over one vehicle.

Details are still emerging on the incident (JASPERIMAGE)

It is unclear at this time whether there have been any serious injuries or what vehicles have been involved in the horror smash.

Local north-east news social media site Fubar News reports there has been an 'accident' on the road.

The site posted within the last hour: "A96 in Keith closed in both directions between The Royal Oak pub and the B9115 junction, because of an accident. Air ambulance in attendance."

It is unclear how long the horror crash will close the road for.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service did not answer when phoned by the Record.
