A driver had the shock of their life after a wheel smashed through the windshield of their car and broke the passenger seat in half.
The horror crash happened when the wheel came off a trailer being pulled by a Ford transit pickup in Kildorrery in Co Cork.
The incident happened on Friday evening on N73 Mitchelstown to Mallow Road at Waterdyke, Kildorrery.
Gardai in Cork have appealed for witnesses following the shocking incident.

A picture of the damage was posted to C103 Cork’s Facebook Page with the caption: “At around 6pm yesterday, Friday the 5th of April on the N73 Mitchelstown to Mallow Road at Waterdyke, Kildorrery a wheel came off a trailer being pulled by a Ford transit pickup which was travelling in the direction of Mallow.
“The wheel went through the windscreen of an oncoming car with such force that it broke the passenger seat in half.
“The road was busy at this time so Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses that may have any information relating to this incident to get in touch.
“Had there been someone in the passenger seat the consequences could have been fatal.
