Horror clip shows horse ravaging sheep to death and throwing it in air like rag doll

This is the dramatic moment a horse killed a sheep with its mouth - throwing its body around like a rag doll in a fit of rage.

The startling clip, which was posted to Reddit, reveals the terrifying strength of these normally gentle giants, as the horse can be seen jumping around in distress before picking the sheep up by its back.

The sheep can be seen laying in the long grass as the violent stallion jumps around and picks up the defenceless animal and aggressively slings its body in every which way.

The sheep already looks lifeless as it is dropped to the floor before the horse picks it up again to throw it around once more.

A couple of startled onlookers can be seen tentatively approaching the horse in a bid to help the sheep, but decide to hang back as the furious horse is filmed bucking and throwing its head around in a display of sheer rage.

As the sheep is picked up a second time its face is red with blood from its injuries.

Viewers of the shocking footage remarked about the power and potential threat horses can pose when distressed.

One user commented: "Everyone knows to stay clear of the back end, but the front is really the most dangerous. I've seen my horse lift a 50 lb bale of hay and causally toss it when trying to pull some lose bits of forage out."

Another added: "Easy to forget how powerful horses are. Lifted that sheep and threw it around like it was nothing."

Others took pity on the sheep making reference to their gentle nature, used to soothe children to sleep.

One comment read: "I bet that sheep wishes it was jumping over a sleeping child's mind, being counted so that they could fall asleep."
