A Scots teen was rushed to hospital following a horror attack as 'around 40 youths' descended on a park.
The alarm was raised at around 7.30pm on Saturday, August 14, after several calls were made to police.
Cops were made aware a large group of around 40 youths had swarmed Rouken Glen Park in East Renfrewshire.
As the chaos unfolded on Saturday night one 15-year-old boy was assaulted.
The teenager was rushed to University Hairmyres Hospital in South Lanarkshire with minor injuries.
Police have now launched an investigation following the attack and urged parents to be aware of where their kids are.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “About 7.30pm on Saturday August 14, several calls were made to police reporting large group of youths around 40 in number within Rouken Glen Park, engaged in anti-social behaviour with one young male having been assaulted.
“Police arrived and a 15-year-old boy was taken to hospital as a precaution and for treatment of a minor injury.
“We continue to address concerns of anti-social behaviour within our parks and open spaces.
“I would urge people to continue to know where their children are when out and about in order to help keep them safe.
“We also continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the assault and ask anyone with any information to please contact Police Scotland, quoting incident number 3515 of August 14, 2021.”
