Horror as woman, 39, found murdered in wealthy London neighbourhood

A woman has been found murdered at home by police who went to check on her in an upmarket west London enclave.

The 39-year-old was discovered by officers responding to a call raising concerns for her welfare at the address on Old Brompton Road, Earl’s Court, at 11.15am on Wednesday.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: “Efforts are ongoing to identify her and inform her next of kin.”

Detective Chief Inspector Wayne Jolley, who is leading the investigation at Specialist Crime, added: “My team are conducting urgent enquiries to establish the full circumstances that led to this woman’s tragic death.

“I know this news will cause concern among the local and wider community.

“I would like to reassure them that our investigation remains a priority.

“My upmost sympathy goes to the victim’s family and friends during this painful time.

“I urge anyone who has information about this incident to contact us as soon as possible”.

No arrests have been made at this stage.

A post-mortem examination will be held in due course.

A scene remains in place on Old Brompton Road and residents can expect to see an increased police presence over the coming days.

Anyone with information can contact police via 101, quoting CAD 2689/10DEC25, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 111 555.
