Horror as mum finds creep living in attic above 14-year-old daughter's bed

A mum was shocked to discover a creep living above her 14-year-old daughter's bedroom.

Matthew Casto, 18, from Tennessee, US, was arrested for trespassing after the mum spotted him at the top of her stairs.

She started screaming when she saw the intruder, who then ran into her daughter's bedroom and seemingly disappeared.

However, he was later found in the attic by police officers, who had to remove him from the loft by force after he refused to leave.

The creep had allegedly been living in the home 'for some time' and was sneaking down into the daughter's bedroom at night, a police investigation found.

He used to get into the girl's room through her closet, according to The Sun.

It is said police had previously warned Casto to avoid contact with the girl after she ran away from home on May 29.

The girl was found safe the next day, it is claimed.

The 18-year-old has been charged with trespassing and was released from jail after posting $2,000 (£1,575) bond on June 6, reports say.

He is due to appear in court today.

Cary Cocuzzi was found living in the attic of another home in America earlier this year.

Cocuzzi spent weeks sleeping above his ex-girlfriend's bedroom in Pittsburgh, US.

However, he was caught when she heard some noises and found him in her bedroom, according to the Washington Post .

After a brief scuffle, the woman managed to escape and phoned police, with officers discovering Cocuzzi hiding under a pile of clothes.

He was charged with burglary and unlawful restraint.
