A young man has been stabbed following a horror incident in Ballymun this evening.
The incident happened at around 8:45pm in Poppintree Parade.
The man was taken to the Mater Hospital with a knife wound to his face.
Gardai are now investigating the incident and have not yet arrested anyone in relation to the shocking assault.
A local source said that the man was "stabbed in the chest and eye".
A Garda spokeswoman told The Irish Mirror: "Gardaí attended an incident of assault this evening, Tuesday 11th May, 2021 at approximately 8.45p.m. which occurred at Poppintree Parade.
"One man (late 20s) was removed to the Mater Hospital with a knife wound to his face.
"No persons were arrested.
"Investigations ongoing."
