Dundee’s schoolchildren are learning the secret tricks to horror movie make-up and special effects in a series of exciting classes.
Ruth Rankin is one of six artists delivering the creative experiences to youngsters across the city.
They are taking part in ‘This is For You Dundee (Schools)’ - a project involving six schools that supports the health and wellbeing of children and young people.
Ruth is a community music and drama specialist, director, and writer, passionate about accessibility to the arts for all, in both participation and audience engagement.
Her project is based in Ballumbie Primary School where she is working with three primary 3 classes and the enhanced provision classes (P1-7).
Every class is doing something different depending on their interests, and ranges from sensory stories, play writing, film making, mini musicals, costume design and special effects make-up.
