Horrifying video shows a defenceless duck being beaten to death by cruel teens.
An investigation has been launched after the sick clip was circulated on social media.
The shocking beating has been described as an "awful act of violence" and a search was launched to find the perpetrators.
It shows one teen throwing the poor bird in the air while another takes a swipe at it with a bat.
One of the teens is then seen hitting the duck's head, as the words "Ducks life matter" appear on screen.
It is thought that the distressing Snapchat video was filmed in York, and it was first reported to the RSPCA in July.
The animal charity is now calling on the public to help trace the teens.
Inspector Thomas Hutton said: “This is an extremely distressing video which shows two teenagers carrying out an awful act of violence against a poor, defenceless duck.
“The video of the attack was then posted on social media platform Snapchat which is popular with children and young teenagers and it is particularly troubling that they could easily have witnessed this act of brutality through their phones.
“If anyone has any information about this we would urge them to contact us in strictest confidence.”
