A 16-year-old girl on her way to school was abducted from a bus stop by an armed, masked man in a Detroit suburb.
The child was waiting for her ride with her friend at 7am on Monday (April 13) in Hamtramck, Michigan, when the man forced her into a car at gunpoint.
The friend was able to raise the alarm. The teen victim was saved 30 minutes later when her abductor ordered her to buy him cigarettes at a gas station.
The girl mouthed ‘help’ to store clerk Abdulrahman Abohatem, who rescued the child and pointed out the abductor to police.
Donald James Joseph Arthur Fields, 48, is facing multiple charges.
