Horrifying CCTV shows thug smashing shot glass into defenceless victim's face in casino

Video footage capturing a vicious casino attack in which a jealous thug smashed a shot glass into a man's face for 'eyeing up his missus' has emerged.

Lee Noble, 39, had taken cocaine and drunk 15 pints before attacking an innocent man, who knew his partner from school, in Parrs Wood, East Didsbury.

Speaking to officers after his arrest, he said: "I would have done it to his throat if I had to."

He blamed the unnamed victim - who suffered numerous cuts and bruises to his face, including a nasty gash under his right eye - for him seeing red, adding: "I glassed the f****r cos he was eyeing up my missus."

Manchester Crown Court heard he was lucky to have not suffered more serious injury and Noble, 39, was jailed for six years, reports the Manchester Evening News.

The true horror of the assault was revealed after shocking the court released the shocking CCTV footage after the sentencing.

The incident caused mayhem in the near empty casino, as can be seen in the video.

Played in court, the video shows Noble sat at a table with his partner Kirsty Shaw, as well as his victim and one of his victim's friends at the Grosvenor Casino in Manchester.

Noble didn't know his victim, who attended the same school as his partner, until the night of the attack when he and Miss Shaw had been drinking at a pub and bumped into her old pal on October 27 last year.

The victim later helped Noble find Miss Shaw, who had moved on to the casino ahead of him, with the two initially on 'friendly terms' as they sat and drank together.

Later, at around 2.30am, Miss Shaw and the victim started rowing, with cameras in the casino lounge capturing her twice throwing some of her drink over him.

She can also be seen angrily gesticulating at the man.

"His recollection isn't great because of what he had taken," Kevin Donnelly, defending Noble, said.

"He perceived there had been an insulting remark or approach by the victim towards his partner and he reacted.

"Whether [the victim] did or didn't it doesn't begin to justify the way he [Noble] acted."

The footage shows Noble finish his drink before putting his jacket on. He is then seen walking around the table and launching a shot glass into his victim's face from a few feet away.

He continues to be aggressive towards the victim's friend, who jumped up to defend him.

Casino security detained Noble until police arrived and he was arrested.

An officer claimed that on the way to the station, Noble said: "I glassed the f****r cos he was eyeing up my missus.

"I would have done it to his throat if I had to."

Noble, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to wounding with intent.

Sentencing him Judge David Hernandez said: "This is a case of serious, unprovoked violence.

"The glass was thrown with considerable force into the face of a sitting man who you were a matter of feet away from.

"There has been no satisfactory explanation, and indeed there can be no satisfactory explanation for what you did.

"Your behaviour was no doubt affected by the drink and cocaine you had taken."

Miss Shaw was earlier given a community order by magistrates for offences relating to her role in the incident, the judge heard.
