Horrifying CCTV shows the moment a pet cat was mauled to death on her owner’s doorstep by two vicious out-of-control dogs.

Daisy, the 11-year-old moggy was found with appalling injuries after she was attacked outside her owner’s home.

Shocking footage captured on a neighbour’s CCTV cameras show the snarling hounds savaging Daisy which can be heard screeching in terror.

Daisy was asleep in the sun outside her owner Vicky Brennan’s home in Kings Norton, Birmingham when the mutts pounced on her.

The dogs’ owner had let them off the lead when they attacked Daisy and fled the area shortly after the attack at 2pm on June 9.

Vicky, 51, rushed Daisy to the vet but her injuries were so bad she was put to sleep.

She said: “When I saw the footage I was horrified. The two dogs just went at Daisy like
wild animals. It was heartbreaking.

“We’ve had Daisy since a kitten and she’s part of our family.

It is alleged the two dogs were being walked off the leads and their owner swiftly left the scene after the attack (SWNS)

“We took her to the vet’s who gave her antibiotics and at first it looked like she would make a miracle recovery but she suddenly went downhill and we made the hard decision to put her to sleep.”

Vicky reported the attack to police but officers said they were powerless to prosecute the owner under the current legislation.

A spokesperson from West Mids Police said" "We are looking into reports that two dogs are continuing to be walked off the lead and are posing a threat to other animals or members of the public."

The mum-of-two has now launched a petition in a bid to change the law to make it easier to prosecute owners of out-of-control animals.

Vicky, an administrator at a children's centre, added: “The police cannot do anything if it’s an animal on animal attack which I think is absolutely wrong and needs to be changed.

“Owners of these animals need to be held to account.

"The owner of the dogs didn’t pay for the vets bills, that was kindly done by people who set up a GoFundMe campaign but the owner should have been forced to pay.”

Her campaign for ‘Daisy’s Law’ has attracted more than 6,000 signatories after it was launched on the Change.org  website.
