A horrified man said he 'nearly fainted' when he found a giant live moth scurrying around inside a hoisin duck wrap he bought from M&S.
Cameron Meakin purchased the wrap from the Stockton Heath food hall, in Warrington ,for his lunch on Monday.
However to his horror, when he came to eat the snack, he found a huge moth crawling inside the sealed packet.
Following the vile discovery Cameron posted a video on his Facebook page of the winged creature flying around inside the clearly sealed packet.
In a video, filmed by Cameron, he can be seen showing the camera that the cellophane packet was sealed, yet the insect was inside.
He wrote: "Can someone tell me why there’s a massive moth in my wrap from M&S? - Rank!"
ECHO "It fully did make me gag! Especially cause it was still alive and because of how big it was!
"I just think it was quite repulsing.
"What if the moth had some sort of virus or something and I didn’t see it and eat it? I know it sounds dramatic but you never know do you!?
"I nearly fainted when I saw it."
Cameron said when he noticed the insect he went back to the store he purchased it from, in Forge Shopping Centre, to complain.
And he said the gruesome find has made him question other ready to eat products from the store.
He added: "It makes me question the food hygiene standards of M&S.
"I don’t really even want to eat another ready to eat product knowing that a lot of them are made in the same place too!"
A spokesman for M&S said: “We are really sorry to hear about Mr Meakin’s complaint.
"We’ve asked him to return the wrap to his local store so we can investigate, and our customer services team are in touch.”
