A horrific video shows a violent brawl on Abbey Street despite the fears of the delta variant increasing.
The incident took place outside a well known bar and restaurant in Dublin 1 yesterday evening.
A number of men can be seen getting involved in the row whilst those who were outdoor dining sit in fear.
A hooded man is seen punching another man before a security guard moves him from the premises.
The footage then shows another man throwing a chair in the direction of the restaurant before the people dining outdoors begin to scream.
This scrimmage took place in North Dublin despite the social distancing guidelines in place.
A garda spokesman told Dublin Live: “Gardai received reports of an alleged public order incident that occurred 2 July, 2021, in the Abbey Street area.
“Upon arrival at the scene, no persons were present in the area.
“Investigations into this matter are ongoing."
Dublin Live has contacted the bar and restaurant for a comment.
