Horrific video of dog being abused by youths in Dublin branded 'cruel' and 'sickening' by disgusted locals

A horrific video of a dog being abused by youths in West Dublin has been branded as cruel and sickening by disgusted locals.

The awful scenes showed a defenceless little pup being thrown high into the air and flipping around before crashing into a paddling pool.

One of the sickening videos shows the dog, struggling to break free of the young person's grasp, being thrown over the pool and against a concrete wall.

Dublin Live has seen the videos but has chosen not to publish the cruel and distressing clips.

The DSPCA confirmed to Dublin Live that they are investigating the appalling abuse, and added: "Anyone with information can be given in confidence at https://www.dspca.ie/what-we-do/rescue-cruelty/report-cruelty/ or email inspectors@dspca.ie".

The animal service My Lovely Horse Rescue said that their welfare team were dealing with the situation.

One horrified commenter said: "Oh God that makes me feel so sickened. Dogs are one of the most loving and loyal creatures, how anyone could inflict such pain on them or any creatures is beyond me."

Another sadly replied: "I’m so upset thinking about this poor pup how could anyone be that cruel."

Dublin Live have contacted An Garda Siochana for comment.
