Horrific photos shows cruel pet groomer beat puppy to death for barking

A cruel pet groomer beat his own poodle puppy to death with a sandal as punishment for its constant barking.

The 36-year-old suspect Pan, who was identified by his surname, has been sacked since the shocking horror in August last year, and now faces punishment for offences against Taiwan's Animal Rights Act.

According to the pet salon owner surnamed Chen, Pan was hired as the business's pet groomer in New Taipei City in North Taiwan.

She paid him 35,000 New Taiwan dollars (£874) a month for his services starting in 2016 and he appeared "completely normal" until the weeks leading up to the incident last year.

Chen claims Pan took money from clients for his services without her knowledge and, in August, shocked her staff members when he allegedly yanked his poodle from its crate and began hitting it with his flip-flop.

Distressing footage, which Mirror Online has decided not to publish, shows Pan repeatedly hitting the dog on the face with the sandal.

He reportedly told his protesting colleagues: "It was too noisy. It wouldn't stop barking the entire way here."

When his co-workers tried to check on the dog's vital signs, Pan added: "There's no need to check. I've already beaten it to death."

Pan has admitted to beating the puppy to death because he "lost control" of his emotions, reports said.

The video evidence has since been handed over to the New Taipei City Animal Protection and Health Inspection Office.

The animal rights authority says Pan faces jail time of up to two years and a fine reaching 2 million New Taiwan dollars (£50,000) for the allegedly dog abuse.

The office noted that the severity of his punishment would not be affected by his profession as a dog groomer or the fact that he was the dog's legal owner.
